Digifundus expands operations to Sweden

Digifundus Ltd has signed its first contract in Sweden.

The company has signed an agreement to provide diabetic retinopathy screening services to 4 municipalities in Västmanland county, Sweden.

“This agreement is a very important step for us in entering the Swedish market, and it encourages us to increase our sales efforts even more in Sweden,” said CEO, Jouni Keltanen.

“Digifundus is one of the few Finnish companies that are capable of exporting Finnish, high-quality healthcare services. Typically, Finland exports health care software and hardware, but the actual service exports are very small. Finnish expertise in health care is highly appreciated on a global scale and that is why there is demand for it outside of Finland. Therefore, I would encourage other health care service companies to invest in international expansion,” said Antti Keränen, Chairman of the Board at Digifundus.

Digifundus Oy produces ISO 9001 certified diabetic retinopathy screening services to approximately 150 municipalities in Finland and is now expanding operations into Sweden.
